Price: $125 plus accommodations

A spiritual retreat for women is the perfect way to decompress and feel uplifted, and our Women’s Yoga Retreat offers a unique opportunity to turn within and to know yourself more deeply while building community with other like-minded women. As women, many of us lead full, busy lives in the care and service of others. Take this time to care for yourself, and be taken care of, in the presence of a circle of women! Connect or reconnect with your true self so that you can go back to your life and the people you love refreshed and renewed.

With the incredible natural beauty and spiritual energy of Shoshoni Yoga Retreat as the backdrop, and woven with the wisdom of the ancient practices of the Goddess, this Colorado women’s retreat is an opportunity to let go of the things that bind you and to cultivate gratitude for the gifts of your life. Enjoy a balanced blend of solitary practices like journaling and meditation with group experiences that offer connection, understanding, and shared support. Experience deep happiness from within, and join us in celebrating the gifts of the empowered feminine.

About the Instructor

Kalika Fortin

Kalika Fortin first came to Shoshoni in 2005, where she served on staff while completing her 200-hour yoga certification and advanced asana certifications. Having moved from the conservative mid-west, Kalika enjoyed being immersed in a new and beautiful world of meditation, service and devotional chanting. Captivated by the sweet, calming energy of the morning chants, as well as the lively evening kirtans, it became clear that bhakti yoga was her path. She enjoyed several years in Shoshoni Yoga Retreat’s resident band, Shiva’s Garden, before forming The Pushpams with Mira Gale and Kumara Etzel.

Kalika now calls Shoshoni home once more, and loves sharing music and yoga practice with others. Her yoga teaching style integrates gentle breath awareness techniques with a flow of yoga postures designed to strengthen and stretch the body while maintaining a meditative focus. She has shared music at several yoga festivals including Hanuman Festival, Denver Chant Fest and Bhavapalooza; and has shared the stage with kirtan artists Dave Stringer, C.C. White, Girish, David Newman and Govindas & Radha. Her music has been featured on New World Kirtan and Wild Women Rising.

The scenery is gorgeous with hiking all around, staff is excellent, the food is delicious, the temples are beautiful, the yoga is great and relaxing, and the cabins are clean and nice. I always feel so peaceful there and the meditation is wonderful. It’s a very spiritual place and wonderful for decompressing from city life and for getting back to your true self.
