Meditation For Your Life

July 20

A one-day workshop-style retreat. Meditation For Your Life is a wonderful introduction to the practices of Shambhava Yoga™. Learn the steps to developing a personal meditation practice with small guided sessions and group discussion. Take home guided meditation CDs and a home practice journal. All levels of experience are welcome. Attend the workshop as a Day Retreat or add it to any overnight stay.

Ayurveda Lifestyle Weekend

August 1-4

Expand your knowledge of Ayurveda, the ancient healing science of India, and its relationship to yoga. This fun, comprehensive weekend will offer Ayurveda workshops in addition to yoga and meditation. You will learn fundamental concepts of Ayurveda so you can begin to recognize them in yourself, your friends, and family. CEUs available for yoga teachers. 

Ever-evolving Core Workshop

August 10, 1:15-4:15pm

This course will review in-depth anatomy of the torso and pelvic floor core musculature as well as how these muscles relate to our yoga practice.  We will review current research on the core as well as effective and safe cueing as yoga instructors.  We will practice working with our core in yoga postures.  Finally, we will discuss the ethics and scope of practice of yoga teachers in relation to cueing the core.  This YACEP course qualifies for 3 hours of continuing education for current yoga teachers.  

Art Show: Karma and Faith: the artwork of Karma Phuntsok and Faith Stone

August 16 – September 15

Visit Shoshoni and experience the transcendent artwork of contemporary Indo-Tibetan Buddhist artists Karma Phuntsok and Faith Stone. The show includes a collection of eighty paintings and woodblocks. 

The show opens August 16 at 5:30pm with tea and snacks, and runs through September 15 from 10am-4pm daily. 

Sacred Art Retreat

Learn to draw Shakyamuni Buddha on canvas using traditional eastern thankgha-painting techniques. Accomplished artists Faith Stone and Karma Phuntsok will guide you through the process, teaching these techniques in an easily digestible way and helping to bring your Shakyamuni Buddha to life. Take your Buddha home with you at the end of the weekend. Beginner through experienced artists welcome.

Sacred Art Retreat

Meditation Immersion

A four-day immersion experience. Learn the foundations of meditation and find new depth in your own practice with the support of a fun, contemplative community. Our goal is to share the profound and practical teachings of our tradition in a way that is meaningful for your life.

Family Weekend

December 13-15

Join the Shoshoni community for a weekend of arts and crafts, games, and kid-friendly meditation and yoga. Family Weekend offers an opportunity to spend quality time with your own family, connect with other families, and even enjoy some down time while we watch the kids!

New Year’s Eve Retreat

December 31 – January 1

Join us for a unique, growth-centered New Year’s Eve celebration. A combination of art, yoga, meditation, and chanting will encourage a new level of personal awareness and spiritual growth. This popular program is just $20 plus the price of overnight accommodations, or $50 to participate from 4pm-12am. Space is limited, so reserve soon!

Shoshoni offers a rich meditation practice, wonderful yoga classes, and great vegetarian cuisine. The views are breathtaking and it is incredibly interesting getting to know the staff. Highly recommended!
