Bhavani, ERYT-500:
Bhavani’s love & passion for yoga are contagious, whether you are taking her yoga class or just chatting in the dining room. A dedicated student of Sri Shambhavananda for 17 years, Bhavani continues to support Shoshoni’s evolution with her heartfelt practice. She has led teacher trainings since 1999, dedicated to connecting with individuals and helping them grow. Bhavani completed her 6-12 teaching certification for science in fall 2009 and substitute teaches in the Boulder area. Every summer, she leads the science program the Eldorado Ashram’s Kids Camp. Bhavani can be found throwing pots in her spare time.
Chandra, ERYT-500:
Chandra has been teaching and serving at Shoshoni for 6 years. She truly loves yoga and teaches with skillful intuition, listening to and learning from her students. Chandra’s elementary education background helps her class environment to be supportive and fun. She has spent many summers working with children at the Eldorado Kids Camp. She facilitates beginning through advanced yoga teacher trainings. A pure delight to be around, Chandra helps us all relax and see the best in each other.
Swami Kripananda:
Swami Kripananda serves the Shoshoni community as resident Swami. A student of Sri Shambhavananda for 15 years, KripaMa’s sense of humor and sensitivity help students work deeply in their practice. Meditation teacher training with Kripananda is a life-changing experience for practitioners of all backgrounds. Through openness and depth, she embodies the teachings of Shambhava Yoga and makes them accessible for our culture. KripaMa has authored & edited many Shoshoni publications and writes poetry in her spare time.
Ram Ram:
A student of Sri Shambhavananda for 10 years, Ram leads meditation and philosophy with a warm, real life approach. His classes honor the depth of the yogic tradition and examine how it applies to our daily lives. Ram coordinates construction projects at Shoshoni, including green building, solar systems, and a new worm composting system. He coordinates outdoor team building activities each summer for the Eldorado Kids Camp. Ram’s pottery graces the ashram and inspires us to work with our hands, from our hearts.
Gayatri, ERYT-500:
Gayatri is grateful to share her yogic skills in beginning through advanced teacher trainings. Her yoga classes and trainings have a way of working students past their limitations in a light, fun way. Gayatri loves living in a yoga community and feels it is an ideal environment for spiritual growth. With guidance from Shoshoni founder & artist Faith Stone, Gayatri leads art classes at the ashram. She plays guitar with Shiva’s Garden.
Suryadas:
Suryadas welcomes us to philosophy & meditation classes with a down-to-earth style. A student of Sri Shambhavananda for ten years, he shares his personal experience of the path of spiritual growth in a way we can relate to. Suryadas grooves on the bass in Shoshoni’s kirtan band, Shiva’s Garden, and maintains the beautiful Shoshoni grounds.
Narayani, ERYT-500:
Narayani’s classes are full of sweetness and depth from her 8 years of practice and service at Shoshoni. A senior chef in the kitchen, Narayani authored the third Shoshoni cookbook, Kitchen Goddess, this year. You feel nourished and cared for in her hands. Narayani has taught & developed teacher training courses from Level 1 through Advanced Yoga and specialty courses. You can hear her sing & play mandolin with Shiva’s Garden.
Aasha, RYT:
Aasha’s sweetness is infused in every part of her practice. In her yoga classes, Aasha strives to help her students to be comfortable in their bodies and open up to a relaxing and rejuvenating experience.
Nabha, RYT:
Nabha teaches yoga and meditation from a big open heart. A student at CU Boulder, Nabha coordinates the Yoga Club, providing free classes & yoga opportunities for college students. He has been exposed to the teachings of Shambhava Yoga from a young age and is a radiant example of their effects.
Maitreya, RYT-500:
Maitreya leads meditation, yoga, and philosophy with the gracefulness of a living practice. His open approach helps students relax and experience the present as a gift. Maitreya has studied with Sri Shambhavananda for 6 years and serves the ashram through construction and outdoor work. An understated artist, Maitreya’s painting & sculpture can be found indoors and out. He loves climbing and wandering through the Colorado landscape.
Deepak, RYT:
Deepak leads dynamic yoga and meditation classes, and instructs philosophy and anatomy for teacher trainings. He brightens up the space with a sense of humor and an enlightening intellect. A skilled chef, Deepak’s kitchen creations nurture our bodies & our creativity. He inspires us to laugh, practice, and enjoy the present. Deepak is an aspiring potter and loves outdoor adventures.
Tulsi, RYT:
Tulsi’s yoga classes are as friendly and conscious as she is. She leads yoga practice with delicious adjustments and deep body awareness inspired by her massage therapy background. Tulsi can be seen jogging around the Shoshoni trails and singing in the kirtan band.
