A deep, heart-felt thank you for making my month-long teaching training such a special event for me. The cooperative spirit of Shoshoni is contagious. I felt part of the larger family and welcomed with open arms. The quality of instruction is unparalleled, from the teacher-training classes to the daily yoga sessions - I was continually tickled at the depth of knowledge and ability to teach by all.
I hope to be seeing you again soon, for either a day visit or even Level 2!

The Online Teacher Training, which combines web based learning with full immersion residential study, was a perfect fit for Jamie’s life, a graphic designer in the Denver area. “While it would have been great to spend the month up here, it just wouldn’t have worked with my job,” she says. “There’s no other way I would have been able to do it.”
"When I came here I knew what was expected of me and was able to jump right in!” says Jamie Sandstedt, a recent graduate of Shoshoni’s new 200 Hour Online Hatha Yoga Teacher Training program. “The website supplied plenty of information regarding the school, the practice, meditation, and how to get started. It was a very organized program.” |
Online learning was a breeze for Jamie, learning most of the poses from the thorough written descriptions and checking the online video library for further visual cues. “There was plenty of information,” she says, “and everyone was really helpful from afar.”
During the second half of the training, a two-week residency program at Shoshoni Yoga Retreat, Jamie was impressed with the intensity of full immersion learning. “A book never answers all your questions, and you don’t realize how much you can gain when you eat, sleep, and live your practice for a period of time.”
“Outside of a classroom setting you learn so many different aspects of the practice,” she says of her time at Shoshoni. “It was awesome to be able to sit down at meals and other settings to talk to the Swamis about the practice: they were always there to help me understand what to do with everything I was learning.”

Hope this letter finds you all doing well...Things
have been going really well since I left Shoshoni. I started
teaching classes in March and right now I'm up to 8 classes a week.
I have some great news: I will be opening a small yoga studio May
1st! I can't tell you how excited I am...I am hoping to be seeing
you guys in July for Level 2 training. I think about Shoshoni all
the time and I can't wait to be back there again. You guys are such
an amazing group that taught me so many things besides yoga. I can't
help but smile when I think you my time spent with you.

Thank you for enriching my life!
The Yoga Teacher Training in October was awesome, but without the
caring and discipline you offered I would have given up halfway! How powerful love is! Make no mistake, Shoshoni is all about love
- from the delicious meals, the blissful healing treatments, the
away-from-it-all mountain settings, fire pujas, Ma shrine respite,
heart-opening temple practices, and especially the accessible and
loving residents and teachers. Wow - so inspiring in fact that I
carried away (and was carried away by) a steady (I hope) and rewarding
chanting/meditation practice, as well as a feeling of comfort in
my ability to teach Beginning Level Yoga. You gave what it took
and I hope I took what you gave from the heart. Thanks again. Namaste.

I just wanted to thank you for
the past three weeks. Words cannot express the gratitude I have
for everything you do, and all that you have given of yourself. You are a radiant light and I'm sorry that as a group we could not
come together and see that. Your love, and reverence to your path
is an inspiration. Something that has helped me begin to walk down
my own. Thank you again. Love and Light.

Just wanted to
take the time to say thank you for everything. My time at Shoshoni
was really quite special and really had a profound effect on
me. The Shakti is still working on me and as a result
I am going through enormous life changes. It's soul gardening
and I am getting rid of everything I don't need. Baba once wrote
a book with that title. I will return to Shoshoni. Meanwhile
I'll carry it and you all in my heart. Go well. Warmly,

Just a few brief lines to thank
you for your dedication and commitment to the Teacher Training Course
- and in particular, a sincere thank you for taking the time and
extra effort to spend with me. I mentioned last night that
it was truly that time that turned things around for me and where
everything began to come together. Thank you, best wishes.

I think the course was excellent. I have a lot more confidence in my teaching skills now than I did
before. And I enjoy teaching now - I'm not so nervous.

This card reminds me of
our meditation walks - which helped make this Shoshoni time
- you guessed it - the best yet. Thanks so
much for everything. I look forward to level 5!...it was just
plain fun to hang out with you and Brenda.
